A better life on Southbourne Overcliff while staying at a nice Bournemouth bed and breakfast

Recently, I visited a relative who has a bed and breakfast close to Southbourne Overcliff, Bournemouth and was amazed at the feeling of community that the scents and sounds that the Overcliff generates on a sunny morning.

There were dog walkers all over the place and all gave a cheery 'good morning' welcome. I even stopped and chatted to several who were quite willing to talk. The photo on the top right is of a friendly man who told me all about his dog ball throwing stick. You can see by the look on the dog's face that he's loving it.

There were also lots of people running and jogging too. I even saw a place at the top of the high cliffs for dare devil hang gliding and paragliding pilots to assemble.

Above all, it was the feeling of community, the smell of the grasses that are kept long because it is a special nature reserve site and the wonderful views across the beaches and the water that attracted me.

I must impose on my relative again for an overnight stay at their Newpoint Hotel, Southbourne. It seems like a nice place to be. Maybe I could retire there and join the Overcliff walkers each morning for a friendly chat.

Bye for now
